Material & Care Notes

This product is crafted from 100% natural latex.
If you have a latex allergy, please ensure you have confirmed your tolerance before purchase.

Natural latex is impermeable to air and water, offering excellent waterproof qualities; however, it is sensitive to ultraviolet light, which can accelerate its deterioration. Contact with metals may cause melting, discoloration, or distortion, particularly with lighter-colored latex, which is prone to staining or color transfer. Prolonged metal contact may also cause the rubber to adhere permanently.

Latex is highly sensitive to oils, and—except for specialized care products—any exposure to oily substances can lead to degradation and damage. For long-term storage, we recommend checking the garment at least once a month. Avoid prolonged contact with other materials, as this may cause irreversible harm to the latex surface.

(Please note that our company does not accept complaints related to allergic reactions caused by our products.)

Storage and care instructions

As this garment is crafted from latex, thoughtful storage and care are essential to ensure its lasting beauty. We recommend keeping it in a cool, dry space such as a wardrobe or closet, away from direct sunlight and excess humidity. Follow the principle of “Ryōan-mitsu”—cool, dark, and sealed—for optimal preservation. Storing in a sealed vinyl or airtight bag, ideally within a light-blocking case or black protective cover, will protect it from ultraviolet rays, fluorescent light, temperature and humidity fluctuations, and oxidation from ozone.

For cleaning, gently wipe soiled areas with a well-wrung cloth or towel, then allow the piece to dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated space. Avoid washing with water whenever possible; if necessary, rinse thoroughly, press out excess moisture carefully (without twisting), reshape, and dry naturally in the shade.

To enhance longevity and brilliance, we recommend our specialized care products:

GOMUSHAN THE CLEANER – Dissolve 10–15ml in 10L of water or lukewarm water, wash gently, and rinse thoroughly.

GOMUSHAN THE GLOSS – A latex-specific gloss and conditioner for a radiant finish and lasting care.

GOMUSHAN THE SKINOIL – A latex-formulated oil that enriches suppleness and extends durability.

Preserved with care, the garment will retain its vivid luster and refined elegance for years to come.
For detailed instructions, please refer to How to Use Rubber Shampoo . Proper storage and care will help keep your clothes looking beautiful for a long time.

Attention to detail

The defining characteristics of the Nagoya collar are recreated with absolute precision.
Distinct from its Kansai counterpart, the Nagoya collar extends broadly to the shoulders, with a dramatically deep V-cut that plunges toward the solar plexus, necessitating the presence of a bib—a hallmark of its iconic design. The collar’s expansive surface and wide opening emphasize this bib insert, making the sharply defined V-line the most distinctive detail of the Nagoya style.

In this piece, the traditional silhouette is faithfully revitalized: the large bib panel is sculpted in both shape and placement, with a lowered connection point that accentuates its prominence. Soft, voluminous cuffs add comfort and a touch of innocence, while the triple-line motif—an essential element of classic sailor uniforms—is meticulously rendered across the collar and cuffs to uphold tradition.

Through this uncompromising attention to detail, the timeless allure of an authentic sailor uniform is fully expressed in latex, transformed into a masterpiece that bridges heritage and innovation.
